For Sale - 1980 MGB LE $15,000 OBO |
The seller of this black 1980 MGB LE #523000 is purportedly in Thailand. The seller claims that this is the last MGB #523000, presented to Henry Ford II in 1981. The seller contends the car was set aside in August 1980 and put back on the assembly line just before the two last cars #523001 and #523002. The last two cars are purportedly on display in the UK. The seller contends that this is the last US MGB on the road now. The seller acknowledges that the serial number in the boot is missing and opines that they did not know what the car number was when it was set aside. The seller claims to have a certificate from The British Motor Heritage Museum which shows the engine number and purportedly matches the number on the engine of the car. The seller maintains he has the no-liens title with him in Thailand, but the Certificate may be in Canada. The car has a Canadian license plate, but the seller contends it's registered in Georgia and just never got around to replacing the plates. The seller contends the car was involved in a fire when it was purchased from the Gast Museum. The seller maintains he bought the car when it was in a pretty sorry state and restored it using as many genuine parts as possible, even the top is NOS. The seller represents that the car was shown at the 2005 Toronto Auto Show alongside Old Number One. The seller argues that anyone who is familiar with MGB history should know this car and recognize its significance. The car is not running and has not run for quite a few years. The odometer shows 2,032 miles. The hood release cable is missing, so the hood could not be opened upon inspection. The seller claims the car has no rust. The car is in a confidential storage facility in Norcross (confidential at the request of the storage facility). The seller maintains the car has not been driven for more that a few thousand miles and has always been stored in a dry air-conditioned environment. The seller represents that he has the original wheels and tires in another local storage facility. Price: $15,000 OBO. If you like to have a private viewing, please contact Dave Peck at 404 402-8423. If you have questions or wish to make an offer, please reach out to the seller Peter l/n/u at rogersvenet@gmail.com. No phone number has been provided. For Sale - 1952 MG TD $35,000 |
FOR SALE – 1952 MG TD – Ready to Drive and Show! This MG TD has long been a dream for the owner. Unfortunately, due to age and medical issues, it is time for a new owner who will drive and enjoy her. He purchased the car in 2023 out of California and had a shop there go through the car and correct anything that needed updating to make the car safe and ready for trouble-free driving. A large amount of work was completed before the car was shipped to Georgia. When driven in Atlanta, other issues arose, so they were immediately addressed, and all the maintenance records are available. This car is in excellent condition, both body and mechanically. It starts quickly and is ready to drive and show. The color is right and shows well with the Chrome wire wheels, chrome luggage rack, dual side mirrors, wind deflectors, excellent interior, and tan boot cover. Additionally, the tan soft top and boot cover, side curtains, full tonneau cover, and rear window are all in excellent condition. Under the bonnet sits the original XPAG 1250cc 4- cylinder engine, rated at 54 Horsepower, with a chrome exhaust, backed by a 4-speed manual transmission to roll the 2-year-old, improved performance Vredestein Sprint Classic tubeless tires. Additionally, this car has a new radiator and thermostat, new 7-blade fan, ceramic coated exhaust manifold, carburetor heat shield, and rebuilt carburetors. You can see the current maintenance records in the photos. Since the car is driven regularly, there are a few minor nicks and scratches as shown in the photos, but it runs and drives great and remains car show ready. Asking $35,000. 1975 MGB. Original owner, great condition, overdrive. Driven regularly. All maintenance records. Overdrive. Professionally stripped inside and out, renewed (new metal rocker panels welded in), and repainted (original Teal Blue color) in a 2011 rehab. No rust. Cover, manuals and books included: owner’s manual, Haynes Owners Workshop Manual, Haynes MG Restoration Manual, Original MGB (restoration manual by Clausager). Recently new: fuse box with modern fuses, gas tank, fuel pump. This beauty has a history – bought new in London and then went across the Atlantic Ocean three times (not under it’s own power!) as its owner was reassigned by the US Air Force. For Sale - 58 MGA Roadster $17,000 |
Owner purchased in February 2000 39,000 miles (odometer not working) Overall, very good condition Top in good condition Contact: Randy Dover (404) 550-9083 or doverjohnr@gmail.com |
My family has owned this car since the late 80’s and it is approximately 95% restored. Currently the car is in need of a new fuel pump and carburetor tune-up.
It is a 1275cc with less than 1000 miles on it since a total rebuild on all the mechanicals. The engine has been bored with a no-lead head on it. The body has been rebuilt with almost entirely new body panels. Contact: Kevin Connolly: (770) 328-9961 or Knjconn0708@gmail.com |

The odometer has 67,649 miles. The car drives great, shifts good, with no mechanical issues. In my opinion, both the interior and exterior are in great/excellent condition. The only modification I am aware of is the pollution equipment has been removed and a Weber Carburetor installed. My price is $10,500. This price is negotiable. 1960 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite - $16,000 |
Better than good condition - It starts, runs, and drives well. Bought in March of 1978 shortly after a nice restoration. I drove it regularly for several years (Now just over 51,000 miles on the odometer) but in the last few years I have let it sit in the garage more than it deserves. I think a new owner who loves classic British sports cars is what it needs. The pictures here are a good representation of the Sprite but I have many more showing the engine, trunk, and various other views. The previous owner gave me a list of what she had done for the car and I have attached a picture of that record. It was a comprehensive upgrade, including a ‘71 MG Midget front end with disc brakes. See the attached picture from the Workshop Manual showing the numbers of the engine, chassis and body. Over the years, I had it painted, put in new floors, did regular maintenance, and recently had the carburetors and mechanical fuel pump rebuilt, and a new battery installed. I think the timing needs a little adjusting to smooth it out and the hydraulics need to be overhauled. The car has a little rust under the paint at the bottom rear of the bonnet on both sides and possibly a spot in the center of the bonnet. I found one area of rust underneath near the right rear wheel. Otherwise, the car is rust free as far as I can tell. Included is a top, tonneau cover, side curtains, wind wings, a library and memorabilia, and lots of spare parts. The books include two owner’s workshop manuals and several other repair and restoration guides + more. The extra parts include carburetors, a transmission, rubber parts, two grills, and lots of other bits and pieces. I will be happy to share any additional information to anyone interested in the car. 1969 MGB + Trailer - $2,250This is a 1969 MGB that we bought running. Since then, I have borrowed the radiator and fuel pump from her for our '65 MGB. Here’s a list of what’s been done for this car:
|
The car has a 1977 engine with dual carbs and the standard 4 synchro tranny from the 1977. She also has 5 good wire wheels, the scissor folding top frame, two good seat frames, and decent bumpers with no bends or bumps. She has some rust areas behind the front wheel wells. Our welder said that he could scab solid metal over top or could replace those sections with the replacement parts that are available through Rimmer Brothers. We decided to leave it for now as we are selling her. As part of the deal, I am including a 24ft, dual axle trailer with electric brakes. We are about 11 miles off I-75 in Rossville, Ga. I would like to get $2,250 for everything. Robert Williams ncsailor62@gmail.com |
